A.K.A. “The Jock with a God Complex”

Who’s da man? You are! (Or, “da woman” as the case may be.) You’re cool without trying. Confident, caring, loyal. Do you ever make a wrong move? Okay, perhaps your enthusiasm for life can get you into trouble with those more inhibited than yourself, but you’ve got the skills to get yourself out of any sticky situation. The only problem with leading such a blessed life is jealous peers. Don’t let them rile up your competitive nature to an unhealthy level!
And don’t let your good looks drag you down a dangerous path, either! Those infros are tough to treat.

There goes 2010, and here comes 2011.

Almost a month into the year, and my life really hasn’t changed that much. I still work at Hostgator from three till noon five days a week, and I still run my karaoke company. I am working on trying to get more shows, but that is not really easy at this time of year. Bar business seems to slow down in the months from January to March. In fact, it is probably March Madness that really gets the swing of things going.

My life is still semi hectic, but not too bad. I have been spending more time with my family and friends lately. I have been forcing myself to make the effort sometimes due to the lack of sleep it will require. Most of the time, I try to schedule as much as I can in on a Sunday.

My pets are all doing well, although I do have to take a moment to pay respects to my ‘nephew’ Kullochi whom we had to lay to rest last Sunday. He had a cancer related heart tumor which bled into his chest cavity. I will certainly miss that little guy as a wonderful dog and a friend to Daphnie, my golden lab-visla mix, as well. Daphnie is as always a happy dog. Dex has grown to almost 19 pounds. His sister left our family to join my brother who has dubbed her Trixie. Princess, my mom’s dog, is doing well also.

About the only thing really cool to happen is that I bought myself a blu-ray disc burner. It’s cool to watch movies on, but unfortunately, there is no native support for direct playback of blu-ray discs in Linux. So, I have to reboot into Windows when I wish to watch movies on it. Oh well. At least I can now burn discs up to 50Gb (dual layer blu-ray).

Until next time…

Well, it’s been a couple of weeks, but I have been really busy yet again. I have had work, shows, and private parties monopolizing a great deal of my time. I really haven’t even had much time to spend with my friends. At least, as of yesterday, I was able to finish my holiday shopping (I think). By the way, going to the mall the last Saturday before Christmas is not always the most pleasant experience in the world. Actually, the mall experience wasn’t too bad. It was just getting into and out of the parking lot that caused such a problem. Anyway. It’s nice to have another day off. Those seem to come few and far between these days.

Moving along. Chanukah was cool this year. We didn’t all get together like we normally would, but at least my dad and I were able to light the candles together almost every night this year. I only got a couple of gifts so far though. One of my best friends got me a coffee maker for work though. I believe, with the exception of shoes, I have never gotten a gift that I have gotten so much use out of. My folks have been asking me what I want from them, but I always hate answering that because I never really know. I got my dad some shirts though which he really liked, and I got my mom a Star Trek book chronicling the original TV series. She seemed to like that a lot as well. I am going up to visit my brother on the 25th for an overnight trip. I am hoping to see one of my good friends in Austin since I got something for him as well.

I suppose there is not much more to catch up on for now. Whatever you celebrate, I wish a truly happy holiday season to you all.

Until next time…
